     This year has seen an explosion of celebrity engagements and, of course, rings fit for megastars.  Here's a view of some of the best.

Avril Lavigne received a hefty 14 carat ring featuring a pear-shaped diamond surrounded by half-moon stones from Nickelback's Chad Kroeger.
