Step 1: Phone Interview
A consultant from the company will schedule a phone interview in the initial stage to first assess your eligibility.
The following information will be obtained from you:
- Type of work pass (i.e. S Pass, Employment Pass, Personalised Employment Pass)
- Family ties with any SG Citizens or Permanent Residents
- Any pending applications with the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA)
An assessment of your profile will also be done, some of which involves:
- Your age
- The amount of time you have stayed in the country
- Your salary
Step 2: In-person Interview
The consultant will then confirm if you indeed have the correct work pass, as mentioned during the phone interview. The actual physical work pass is required so it can be verified during this appointment.
To gauge the likelihood of a PR submission being approved, your profile will be reviewed based on the assessment over the phone.
The consultant will then go through factors that will have an impact on your PR approval, which include:
- The profile assessment, such as education qualifications, current work industry, admirable merits, among others.
- ICA’s unspoken annual quota of approved submissions for permanent residency
- The political climate in the city-state at the point of your application

Step 3: Request for Documents

Step 6: The Outcome
ICA takes approximately between four and six months to go through every PR submission. Based on the result of your application (i.e. whether it is successful or not), the company will advise you on the next step for you to take.
