Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon* Review and Swatches

It wasn't until I recently bought the Bourjois Colour Boost Lipstick in Plum Russain that I rekindled my love for the other two shades in my collection, Peach on the Beach* and Orange Punch*. The Color Boost Lip Crayons are a really lovely and light product. To see why I like them, keep reading.

Peach on the Beach* | Orange Punch* | Plum Russian

As I said, I have three different shades (Peach on the Beach*, Orange Punch* and Plum Russian) and I've swatched all three above. Peach on the Beach* is a light peachy pink shade that's a fair bit paler and more milky than it appears in the swatch. It pulls different levels of peach on different skintones but it looks really peachy on me. Orange Punch* is a sheer orange shade that provides enough colour to be seen without been difficult to wear of overbearing. Finally we have Plum Russian, my favourite of the three. Plum Russian is a blue toned purple/plum shade that's almost like a really muted version of MAC's Rebel.

The Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons are really nice. A lot of the jumbo lip crayons available at the moment have a very similar texture, however this offers something a bit more unique. These lip crayons are very smooth in consistency, meaning they apply to the lips really nicely. The finish of them is quite glossy, offering a nice amount of shine without looking over the top.

As you would expect from a glossy lip product though, the lasting power isn't all that great. They glossy finish lasts for an hour or so on me, with the colour hanging around for an hour or two after that. I find myself reapplying this lip product every three-four hours. These are not drying on the lips at all. In fact, they're the opposite, I find them to be quite moisturising.

One of my favourite things about jumbo lip crayons is the ease of application and the Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons are no exception. The fine point of a them makes them so easy to apply and the wind up packaging means there's absolutely no need for a sharpener. Huzzah!

The Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons* retail for $15.00 and are available from any store that tells Bourjois. You can pick them up from Priceline here.

If you've tried the Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons, what's your favourite? If you haven't, what shade do you think you'd like to pick up first?
